We had a great start to our NEXT LEVEL sermon series this past Sunday.

Hello Church Family,

We had a great start to our THE NEXT LEVEL Sermon Series this past Sunday at our Celebration Campuses as we celebrated friendships – our friendships with people and with Jesus. In our In-person services, we had a significant upsurge in attendance with many first-time guests, and we had 28 people in our worship services pray to receive Jesus as their Savior.

Some of the people who attended our in-person worship services were Celebration members who hadn’t attended since the Covid19 Pandemic began. One lady who attended for the first time in the past 2.5 years had had her son pass away during that time period. But through tears she shared with her Campus Pastor that the only thing that got her through these months and years has been the love and support she has received from our Church family. She thanked her Pastor that our Church never stopped reaching out to her even when she wasn’t attending.

Another one of our Pastors shared how his young son wanted to invite his friend from his t-ball league to come to Sunday services with him. So our Pastor and his wife invited the parents of their son’s friend to come with them to a Sunday service, and they and their son accepted that invitation. Afterward, the father of the boy shared with our Pastor how much he enjoyed the service and how he was moved to tears at several points in the service. Those first-time guests, along with many other guests, are planning to join us again at Celebration in the near future.

By the way, whether the friends you invited attended this past Sunday or didn’t attend for some reason (several of the friends I invited were too sick to attend), go back this week and invite them to come with you this coming Sunday or on an upcoming Sunday. One of my favorite bumper stickers of all time simply says Real Friends Tell Their Friends About Jesus. And real friends also are faithful in inviting their friends, relatives, co-workers, schoolmates, and neighbors to come with them to the worship services of their Church. Be that kind of friend to your friends.

The thrust of this past Sunday’s message from Matthew 17:1-9 was about developing and/or deepening a relationship with Jesus, and that same Scripture passage and theme is the thrust of Life Group studies this week. Early yesterday morning, over breakfast, I was meeting with a Men’s Life Group that is comprised of a physician and a number of business owners. In our Bible Discussion time we talked about where we are in our relationship with Jesus. Just like our Pastors and I had mentioned in Sunday’s sermon, we were assessing where we are in our relationship with Jesus on a scale of 1 to 10. Sitting in that restaurant these men were moved to tears, and shared how they want to have a closer, more intimate relationship with the Lord in the days ahead. And when we prayed together in that restaurant, other diners in the restaurant were moved by the fervency of our prayer time together.

As I said in the sermon on Sunday and again in Tuesday’s Men’s Group, we’re all as close to the Lord as we want to be. And when we’re seeking to grow in our faith and relationship with the Lord, we’ll make better decisions in our lives, we’ll have more spiritual power in our lives, and we’ll be better examples and encouragers to others. May that be a desire that each of us have in our hearts and lives.

This coming Sunday at our Celebration Campuses we’re going to be participating in Communion together and continuing our THE NEXT LEVEL sermon series. In this coming Sunday’s message, we’re going to be learning how to address and overcome any struggles and strongholds (hurts, bad habits, and hang-ups) that we have in our own lives, and we’re going to be learning how to help others gain victory over the struggles and strongholds of their lives. If you have friends who have children or grandchildren who are struggling with addictions, emotional issues, mental issues, relational issues, etc., be sure to bring those friends with you this Sunday (or have them join us online). This coming Sunday is going to be a big Breakthrough Day for those who participate with us.

In a couple of weeks we will be having another one of our Blessing Of The Children services (September 11). If you or someone you know would like to register your or their children for this special time of prayer and dedication, click here to register. Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Bring those little children to Me.” And when we bring our children to the Lord for His blessing and help, we can know that He will help us to provide for and protect those children and give us the direction we need in raising them.

We love you at Celebration Church. If we can pray for you or assist you in any, please contact your Campus Pastor or Staff, or email us at info@celebrationchurch.org. If you would like to join a Life Group you can do so at my.celebrationchurch.org/lifegroups, if you like to be baptized, you can let us know by clicking here, and if you would like to give you can do so at www.celebrationchurch.org/give. Thanks so much for allowing us the privilege of serving the Lord and you and many others.
