Metarie/New Orleans Children’s Ministerfull-time

Description:

Celebration Church is hiring a full-time Children’s Minister at our Metairie New Orleans Campus. The ideal candidate for the position would have experience in working with children, have a desire to see children reach their full potential in life for Christ, organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and strong communication skills. The primary purpose of the Children’s Minister is to seek to accomplish the vision and purpose of Celebration Church by growing and developing the youth ministry of the campus. Responsibilities:

  • Communicate the overall vision for the Children’s Ministry program.

Kenner Campus Facilities Team Memberfull-time

Primary Purpose:

The associate reports directly to the Kenner Campus Facilities Point Person and is responsible for assisting in the management of services and processes that support Celebration Church and their various ministries. The associate will assist the Facilities Point Person to ensure that all Celebration ministries have the most suitable working environments for their members, employees, and visitors. Must be willing to meet and pray daily with the Facilities Point Person. The ideal candidate will be a team player and teachable. We are looking for someone with a humble and ‘can do’ attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing moderately complex maintenance work, including routine construction, preventive maintenance, and completing repairs or improvements to buildings, fixtures, mechanical equipment, minor electrical equipment or fixtures, plumbing, and grounds.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the grounds for various events or activities.
  • Inspection of facilities, monitoring for plumbing/drainage problems, lights out, vandalism, etc., and making any repairs as needed.
  • Making sure that all buildings and premises comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise under the oversight of the Facilities Point Person.
  • Completing such other work as may be directed from time to time by the Director of Facilities and Transportation Manager.

Hope Closet Store Associatefull-time

Duties include:

  • Operate the cash register to sell merchandise.
  • Clean the store and ensure products are properly displayed before the store opens.
  • Organize merchandise on shelves and restock them when they become empty.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and submit reports to the Store Manager.
  • Carry out other store administrative tasks as directed by the Store Manager.

Facilities Managerfull-time

Principle Function:

To serve the staff by assisting and providing oversight and coordination of Security Services, Maintenance and Transportation Services, Housekeeping and Facility Coordination Services, Onsite Project Management (working in conjunction with the Construction/ Engineering Project Manager) and maintaining the facilities and grounds designated by the Ministry Director.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Security Services.
  • To coordinate with the Director of Security schedule that will provide for security services during church/school functions/services of the church/school facility.
  • Implement and maintain a security checklist that will ensure that adequate precautions and measures are taken to provide for a safe environment for employees, church membership and guests.
  • Provide oversight of security personnel (employed and volunteer).
  • Implement an initial and quarterly training program for security personnel.
  • Maintain key control for church/school facilities (interior and exterior doors).
  • Control and maintain the fire alarm system and evacuation plan.
  • Control and maintain an electronic security system (working in conjunction with our security alarm service provider).
  • Develop and work within an annual budget for Security Services.
  • Be available to respond to visitors who need special attention (homeless and special needs) when ministerial personnel are not available.
  • Be available to assume the receptionist responsibilities when needed.
  • Assist as needed with security.
  • Work with the Detail Security Supervisor/Director making sure services are covered as needed.

Duties and responsibilities:

This position requires an individual who has strong management, administrative, and people skills. This person should have experience and/or training in the following areas:

  • Management of financial and property resources (budget and inventory analysis).
  • Management of human resources (hiring, training and scheduling of personnel).
  • Coordinating and implementing safety and security precautions and preventive measures.
  • Management of a Facility (energy and space utilization management).
  • Processes related to building and property renovation and construction (electrical, mechanical, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, coding/permits, etc.).

Front Desk Ministry Assistantfull-time

Primary Purpose:

This Ministry Assistant position has three main components: the Data Entry Specialist, the Front Desk Coordinator and Multi-Site Assistant. The purpose of the Data Entry Specialist in the Central Support Staff structure is to enter, maintain and manage quality control of all documentation submitted to Celebration Church; including but not limited to general data entry, First Steps Membership record keeping, Virtual Baptism Cards, etc. The purpose of the Front Desk Coordinator is to manage the scheduling of volunteers and all the aspects that pertain to operating the reception area.

Accounting Positionfull-time

Celebration Church has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Accounting Team Member in our Central Support Office. This position will primarily handle accounts payable but will work together with the accounting team to assist on other tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will be an active member of Celebration Church, have 3 to 5 years of experience in finances, Excel spreadsheets, and Quickbooks (desktop and online) proficiency.

Central Support Director of Worship Technologypart-time

The Central Support Director of Worship Technology is a creative, energetic, and organized team member and team leader with the technical knowledge regarding the worship technology needs for all Celebration Church campuses. Ongoing responsibilities will be accomplished through 1) The development of a church-wide technology maintenance and improvement system, 2) The development of ongoing live and online training opportunities for technology leaders and volunteers and 3) Providing leadership to and partnering with central support staff, respective campus worship, production, video and a/v staff of Celebration Church to ensure a level of excellence and continuity is brought to the sound, lighting, a/v and video production needs of the church.

Skills

The applicant for this position must be skilled in the area of leadership with a heart to lead and grow teams. An understanding of basic production sound,
lighting and graphic software and hardware is necessary. A proactive work ethic including a self-motivated drive for quality and creativity is essential. Excellent project management skills and the ability to multi-task several projects at the same time is critical. Flexibility to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines is necessary. Extreme attention to detail and a passion for excellence in creative and technical production is also crucial. Represent the Lord Jesus Christ and the Ministry of Celebration Church with excellence both in and out of the office. Recognizing that having this position is a leadership position at Celebration Church and that meeting the qualifications of a leader at Celebration Church is the first job requirement.

Education and Training

Three years of professional technology experience is desired. College Degree preferred.

This position requires 20 hours of work per week.

CAMPUS WORSHIP LEADER – part-time

The primary role of the Worship Leader is to offer guidance and practical hands-on direction to the (Specific) Campus musical worship leaders of Celebration Church. The Worship Leader will share responsibility for the ongoing worship service growth and development for all Campus Worship Teams in cooperation with the other Campus Worship Ministry Staff.

This position requires 12-15 hours of work per week and includes daily, weekly, and monthly tasks/responsibilities.

Come spend the day with us!  Celebration Christian School System is hiring full day or half day substitute teachers at the Crescent City Christian School location. This position would entail being available on occasion between the hours of 7:30 – 3:30 Monday through Friday as needed.
