Teen Summer Career Camp Teacher (LTCC) – Temporary

Summary: Under supervision of the Director of the LTCC, the summer career camp instructor will be responsible for performing a variety of duties associated with leading teen campers through an assortment of career exploration activities, including formal classroom learning and experiential activities. Activities may include, but are not limited to , social emotional skills education, conflict resolution, team building, and stress management skills. This position also includes support tasks such as facility set-up for activities and field trips that meet NORDC requirements.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: High school diploma (original high school diploma or GED issued by a state department of education must be presented at the time of the application).
AND
EITHER: Successful completion of fifteen (15) semester hours from an accredited college or university.
OR: Two (2) years of experience instructing individuals or groups in either a recreational or educational setting.
OR: One (1) year of experience in education, health, social services, public safety or justice fields.
NOTE: This position is for either one of the two 3-week camp sessions or the full 6-week camp season that lasts from June 5 – July 23, 2023. Employment includes the orientation and training, which will take place the week prior to the start of each camp session.
The 2023 Celebration Church Life Transformation Community Center Teen Camp will allow youth to explore careers in public safety, justice, law enforcement and corrections through a restorative justice lens. The philosophy of restorative justice is centered around the idea of doing things with people, rather than to them or for them, as it recognizes that everyone affected by conflict and harm has a stake in restoring balance in the community.
In addition to gaining a holistic understanding of different career paths, youth participants will learn employment and interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution, effective communication, professionalism, and strategic leadership that will be transferable to any future career endeavor.

FACILITIES ASSOCIATE CENTRAL SUPPORTfull-time

Primary Purpose:

The associate reports directly to the Director of Facilities and Transportation  Management and is responsible for assisting in the management of services and processes that support Celebration Church and their various ministries. The associate will assist the Director / Campus Pastor to ensure that all Celebration ministries have the most suitable working environments for their members, employees and visitors. Must be willing to meet and prayer daily with leader of the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing moderately complex maintenance work, including routine construction, preventive maintenance, and completing repairs or improvements to buildings, fixtures, mechanical equipment, minor electrical equipment or fixtures, plumbing, and grounds.
  • Assisting in project management (supervising and coordinating the work of outside independent contractors and/or volunteer teams).
  • Assisting in the preparation of the grounds for various events or activities.
  • Inspection of facilities, monitoring for plumbing/drainage problems, lights out, vandalism, etc., and making any repairs as needed.
  • Assisting in essential services, such as security, maintenance, waste disposal, recycling, and such other services as ensuring an optimal work environment or working order for all buildings, grounds, machinery, systems, and vehicles;
  • Make sure that all buildings and premises comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise under the oversight of the Director of Facility and Transportation Management.
  • Completing such other work as may be directed from time to time by the Director of Facilities and Transportation Manager.

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of, and ability to perform, plumbing, electrical contracting, carpentry, HVAC repair and maintenance, painting, and general maintenance and repair.
  • Basic understanding of, and ability to conduct general maintenance and repair of, automobiles and other vehicles, miscellaneous mechanical equipment, and machinery.
  • Ability to use common tools in the performance of routine maintenance, repairs, and light construction.
  • General knowledge of, and ability to complete, landscaping services.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Metarie/New Orleans Children’s Ministerfull-time

Description:

Celebration Church is hiring a full-time Children’s Minister at our Metairie New Orleans Campus. The ideal candidate for the position would have experience in working with children, have a desire to see children reach their full potential in life for Christ, organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and strong communication skills. The primary purpose of the Children’s Minister is to seek to accomplish the vision and purpose of Celebration Church by growing and developing the youth ministry of the campus.   • Assist with seasonal children’s programs as needed.

Hope Closet Store Associatepart-time

Duties include:

  • Operate the cash register to sell merchandise.
  • Clean the store and ensure products are properly displayed before the store opens.
  • Organize merchandise on shelves and restock them when they become empty.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and submit reports to the Store Manager.
  • Carry out other store administrative tasks as directed by the Store Manager.

CAMPUS WORSHIP LEADER – part-time

The primary role of the Worship Leader is to offer guidance and practical hands-on direction to the (Specific) Campus musical worship leaders of Celebration Church. The Worship Leader will share responsibility for the ongoing worship service growth and development for all Campus Worship Teams in cooperation with the other Campus Worship Ministry Staff.

This position requires 12-15 hours of work per week and includes daily, weekly, and monthly tasks/responsibilities.

Crescent City Christian School Jobs

FINE ARTS (MANY AREAS SEE BELOW) – part-time

Crescent City Christian School is hiring part-time Fine Arts instructors in the areas of Private Instrumental Lessons( piano, voice, guitar, drums, brass and woodwinds). SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS – full day or partial day

Come spend the day with us!  Celebration Christian School System is hiring full day or half day substitute teachers at the Crescent City Christian School location. This position would entail being available on occasion between the hours of 7:30 – 3:30 Monday through Friday as needed. Whenever you are contacted about substituting, you may accept the day or turn it down if it did not fit your schedule for that day. You would carry out the mission, vision, and values of the school as well as be a strong Christian role model and positive motivator in the student’s life.  You may pick up an application at the school office of the Crescent City Christian School located at 4828 Utica Street in Metairie during the hours of 8 am to 4 pm.
