KEY PRAYER FOCUSES
· Pray that recent worship service attendees would experience salvation and begin the process of becoming disciples of Jesus
· Pray for a timely completion of our Airline Drive campus
· Pray that hundreds of people will get involved in Life Groups so they can develop “sharpening” relationships
PRAYING FOR OUR CHURCH FAMILY
Pray that:
· Our Friends, Relatives, Associates and Neighbors we’ve been praying for will respond to our witness and invitations to church/Life Group
· More of our people will progress through our Belong and Grow & Serve tracks, and become ministers and leaders to others
· Our River Parishes Congregation will continue to grow spiritually and numerically, with more people attending from the community
· Our St. Bernard Campus will continue growing spiritually and numerically and will be able to acquire adjacent properties for office, educational and parking
· Our Metairie Congregation will rise to the challenge of making the transition from Transcontinental Drive to Airline Drive
· Our Transcontinental facility will be sold to another church soon
· Our Crescent City Christian School will continue to be strengthened and used by God to raise up godly Christian leaders for the future
· Our Celebration Hope Center ministry will continue to bring help, hope and healing to many individuals and families
· Our Church Leaders will always know and do God’s will
PRAYING FOR OUR CITY & REGION
Pray that:
· New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu will surround himself with capable leaders, who will help our city and region
· The spirits of corruption, crime, immorality, poverty and violence over our city will be broken, and New Orleans will become known as the “godliest city in America.”
· The School systems in Jefferson, Orleans, St. Bernard, St. Charles and St. John Parishes will become healthy and excellent
· God will continue to unify pastors and churches in our region
· Prosperity will come to our area as we become a godlier region
PRAYING OUR NATION
Pray that:
· Our national leaders will listen to the Lord and to godly counsel
· Christian leaders will rise up and be elected by the people of our nation
· Our military people at home and abroad will be protected from harm
· The American “gods” of hedonism, humanism, materialism and secularism will be overcome
· Churches across our nation will rise up to be “beacons of hope and light” in the midst of our dark world
· Spiritual awakening will come to our nation
PRAYING FOR OUR WORLD
Pray that:
· Our Celebration missionaries (and other missionaries) will be provided for and protected by the Lord, and will have great success in bringing transformation to the cultures in which they are ministering
· Spiritual awakening will continue in Latin America, and economic and educational advances will be made as nations become more godly
· Islam will be defeated in Africa, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Southern Asia, and Christianity will prevail in those regions
· Buddhism & Hinduism will be defeated in Southern & Eastern Asia
· Atheism & secularism will be defeated in Western & Central Europe
· Evil government leaders in nations will be displaced, and honest, godly leaders will take their places
· Aids, poverty and a lack of clean water will be overcome in the world’s nations
How to Fast:
· You can fast all meals or most meals
· You can participate in a “Daniel” fast which would consist of abstaining from eating meat, bread, dairy and sugar products, while focusing on eating vegetables, fruits and nuts.
· You may also want to fast other “hindrances” such as, caffeine, video games, MySpace or Facebook, television programs, etc.
