Celebration Church exists in order to reach and challenge people to grow in relationship with God and others resulting in changed lives, homes, New Orleans, and the world through Jesus Christ.
Our Purpose
Celebration Church is about people - loving people, caring for people at their point of need, and pointing them to Jesus. Our message is one of hope, love, and reaching out to the broken and hurting. Individuals find unconditional love and acceptance. Families are restored. Many experience healing. We witness thousands of changed lives. People with addictions are set free in Christ. Children, teens, and adults find meaning and purpose.
5 Components of Ministry
Worship
In order for someone to be successful in their relationship with God they need to constantly make sure that they have a clear connection with him. At Celebration Church we help people to do this by providing inspirational and creative worship experiences for Children, youth, and adults of all ages. Large group gatherings, special events, and worship celebrations are designed to encourage and renew us through the use of music, drama, testimonies, and applicable teachings by staff and lay persons.
Youth and children meet for unique worship celebrations and special events. Childcare is available free of charge during each worship celebration as infants and toddlers rest, play, and learn about Jesus in a safe and loving environment.
Community
The most important thing in life is relationships. They are the motivating and driving force behind the decisions that we make on a daily basis. At Celebration Church we recognize the influence of positive relationships on our lives, which is why the central component to our ministry is LIFE Groups. LIFE Groups are small fellowships of believers who meet regularly to encourage healthy relationships, quality friendships, mentoring, spiritual growth, and intimacy with God. LIFE Groups provide a community of fellowship and support. We have LIFE Groups for everyone including: singles, couples, families, teens, young adults and others.
Transformation
Celebration Church is committed to spiritual growth and development. It is our desire to see people change as they allow Christ to penetrate and influence their minds, character, relationships, habits, attitudes, and influence. At Celebration it is important for individuals of all ages participate in the process of discipleship and mentoring. This process includes the Celebration Journey Track which is a compilation of our I want to KNOW, I want to BELONG, I want VICTORY, and I want to ENGAGE events. Our Wednesday night equipping classes then follow up the Connection Track. These classes help to guide individuals to discover their purpose in Christ and their ministry in New Orleans and the world.
Freedom
Freedom from past hurts, habits, and hang-ups are a key component to a person experience the fullness of life that is promised through a relationship in Christ. Celebration provides specialized ministries which enable people of all ages to overcome past bondages, abuse, and addictions so that they can experience a more productive future. Celebrate Recovery, Trauma Counseling, Marriage & Family Counseling as well as other small groups meet to address various needs such as marriage enrichment, parenting, divorce care, financial recovery, 12-Step Recovery groups, and more.
Influence
A critical component of a successful Christian life is the realization that God has kept us here on earth in order for us to share the Good News about Jesus Christ with others. Celebration Church encourages all of our people to be involved in influencing the world through participation in missions events. We have local missions including Disaster Recovery Ministry, Hospitality Ministry (Greeters, Parkers, Nursery & Chidlren), Celebrate Blessings (Homeless), Celebrate Business (Business Networking), the Alpha Course, and many others. Celebration Church also supports National and International ministries with both financial support and by sending volunteer mission teams throughout the year.
